Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site — such as the endorsement form, volunteer sign-up, yard sign request, or newsletter subscription — we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, title or affiliation, and any other details you include in the form or in messages you send us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect some information automatically as you browse. This includes cookies and similar tracking technologies — notably the Meta Pixel described below — which collect information such as the pages you visit on this site, the device and browser you use, and general information about how you interact with the site.

How we use your information

• To contact you and verify endorsement submissions
• To publish approved endorsement names on the site (only with your permission)
• To send you campaign updates, if you've asked for them
• To measure the effectiveness of our campaign advertising so we use resources responsibly

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). The pixel helps us measure how our campaign ads perform, and it allows us and Meta to show campaign ads on Facebook and Instagram. When the pixel is active, browsing information — such as the pages you visit on this site — is shared with Meta, which may connect it to your Meta account according to your own Meta privacy settings. Meta may use this data for ad measurement and targeted advertising.

Visitors in regions that require consent (such as the EU and UK) are shown a consent banner before the pixel loads, and it stays off unless they accept. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. These providers work on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also share information when required by law, including campaign finance reporting requirements that may apply to contributions and certain campaign activity.

Your California privacy rights

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (such as the targeted advertising described above). You can exercise any of these rights by emailing info@stewart4malibu.com. You can also opt out of targeted advertising at any time by declining the Meta Pixel via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the campaign purposes described in this policy, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and we will revise the effective date above when we do. The version posted on this page is the current policy.
